Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Polyngua. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including private language lessons, downloadable content, and blog materials. By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to all visitors of the website and to all users of our language learning services. Sections 2 and 3 apply specifically to students and customers.
In these Terms, “we”, “us”, or “Polyngua” refers to the service provider, and “you” refers to the user or student engaging with our services or website.
2. Private Language Lessons
Our private language lessons are subject to the following terms:
- Service Provided: Lessons will be conducted online or in-person as agreed upon between the instructor and the student. The lesson duration and frequency will be determined in advance. A booking is considered confirmed once the student receives written confirmation from the instructor by email or messaging app.
- Payment Terms: Lesson fees are communicated in advance and confirmed at the time of booking. Payment must be made within 14 calendar days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments can be made via bank transfer or TWINT.
- Cancellation and Rescheduling: Students must notify the instructor at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule a lesson without incurring a charge. No-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson will be charged the full lesson fee.
- Lesson Expiry: All purchased lessons must be scheduled within 12 months of the payment date, or they will be forfeited without a refund unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Materials and Additional Costs: Teaching materials are included in the lesson fee. Any additional learning resources are optional and at the student’s expense.
- Confidentiality: Polyngua agrees to keep all personal and academic information confidential and will not share it with third parties without prior consent.
- Liability: The instructor cannot be held responsible for specific learning outcomes or achievements.
- Termination: Either party may terminate the agreement with at least two weeks’ notice. Prepaid lessons may be refunded on a pro-rata basis if the student initiates termination with proper notice. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed, and are typically issued within 5–10 business days of confirmation. Unused lessons are non-refundable if the student has breached these Terms.
- Minors: For students under the age of 18, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required before lessons may begin.
